Windshield Replacement FAQs
Find answers to the most common questions about our services.
When your windshield has a crack longer than 5 cm, or has a stone chip alongside the edge of the windshield or in the camera area, then you should have the windshield replaced, as the glass is compromised and is a safety liability.
In Dubai's extreme heat, small windshield chips quickly turn into large cracks.
When chips get filled with water or dirt, they spread even faster during temperature changes—like going from air-conditioned parking into the blazing sun.
Driving on rough roads and bumpy surfaces also causes chips to grow. Any pressure on the windshield, especially near the damage, will make it worse.
What to do immediately:
Put clear tape over the chip to keep it clean and dry until you can get it fixed. This simple step greatly improves your chances of a successful repair.
Important: Dubai's harsh climate means windshield damage spreads fast.
Book your repair or replacement as soon as you notice any damage.
Stone chip repairs are possible when the damage is smaller than a coin and located at least 5 cm from the windshield's edge.
The repair process typically takes 15-20 minutes.
However, it's important to know that approximately 1 in 10 repair attempts may result in the chip spreading into a crack, which would then require a full windshield replacement.
If you're unsure whether your damage can be repaired, simply send us a photo via WhatsApp or email, and we'll assess whether repair is the right option for your situation.
Windshield replacement requires specialized equipment, precise techniques, and safety expertise that only trained professionals possess. Attempting DIY installation puts you at serious risk—improper installation can lead to the windshield ejecting during an accident, compromising your vehicle's structural integrity.
For a standard windshield, it takes about an hour for a full replacement.
When there is a camera that needs recalibration, it takes approximately 45 minutes longer.
Please note: Our online prices do not include genuine manufacturer (OE) glass by default.
They cover high-quality replacement glass that meets or exceeds manufacturer standards. We stock both OEM (made by your car’s original glass manufacturer) and OEE (equivalent quality from trusted suppliers), depending on local availability.
If aftermarket versions are known to cause issues for your vehicle, we may recommend genuine manufacturer glass instead.
Keep in mind that genuine glass must be ordered through the dealership, cannot be returned, and typically costs 40–60% more than our standard options.
The cost of replacing your front windshield varies depending on the car’s manufacturer, model, and year of production, as well as additional features such as cameras that require calibration after replacement.
Standard windshield replacements start from 1,200–1,500 AED
Advanced replacements start from 2,500 AED
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are safety technologies that help drivers avoid accidents. Common features include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping alerts, and traffic sign detection.
Calibration realigns your vehicle's ADAS cameras and sensors to work properly with the new windshield.
Without proper calibration, safety features like automatic braking and lane alerts may not function correctly or could give false warnings.
A rain detects rain on the front windshield and adjusts the wiper speed accordingly to the intensity of the rain.
You can usually identify IR-coated windshields by their subtle purple or bluish tint compared to standard glass, which typically has a slight green tint.
If you're unsure whether your vehicle has this coating, our technicians can verify this during your appointment and ensure you receive the correct replacement glass.
